Why this works

Check the fit before you buy
This blazer measures 44 inches at the chest, 40 at the waist, and 17.5 inches across the shoulders.
Shoulders are the hardest part of a jacket to alter, so check that number first. Measure across the back of a jacket you love, seam to seam, and compare. Then look for about 3 inches more than your bust at the chest, so it buttons over a thin layer.

- Remove the shoulder pads if you want a softer line. They’re lightly stitched in.
